Random Nail Art - Bows, Checkerboard, Bubbles

Hey everyone!

So I've been keeping up with my nails, but I haven't been keeping up with blogging. :( I do normally post pictures of my nails as I do them to Instagram though. I decided to post some of the more fun ones I've done recently.

I'm not going to list what polishes I used in the pictures, but if you want to know, don't hesitate to ask in my comments.

Thanks for stopping by!

Comparison: OPI Just Spotted The Lizard & Gap Gold Rush

Hello!

Today I’m going to show you a side by side comparison of OPI Just Spotted The Lizard and Gap Gold Rush.

In real life they look the same, but it was hard to capture with my camera.

Can you tell which fingers each polish is on?

photo 3

Both look like dupes to me.

The pointer and ring finger is Gap Gold Rush.

photo 2

Thumb, middle, and pinky finger is OPI Just Spotted The Lizard.

I used two or three coats of both polishes, I’m not sure though because I’ve been sitting on these pictures for a while now.  I know both had good coverage with two coats, but I kind of think I might have used a third. Both applied really well, and I want to say the OPI seemed a little streakier, but the streaks weren’t too bad once dried. I prefer Gap Gold rush because it’s a little cheaper than the OPI (well the regular size at least). These two are also dupes for Chanel Peridot, which I don’t have, but have seen comparisons online. There are so many dupes for Chanel Peridot now, so there is no need to shell out a ridiculous amount of money for the Chanel.

Julep Daisy Stamped with Julep Robin

Hey everyone!

Lately I feel like I don’t have time for anything. All I do is work and sleep. I haven’t been painting my nails nearly as often as I’d like to. I definitely need to prioritize and reorganize my life.

Earlier this week I painted my nails using Julep Daisy, which reminds me of egg yolk. I stamped on top of that using Julep Robin and Cheeky plate CH9. I received both these colors in my June Boho Glam Julep Maven box.

I used three coats of Daisy to get full coverage. Daisy was a little streaky, but what yellow isn’t. Robin stamped pretty well, even though it was still a little sheer, causing Daisy to change how Robin looks. I’ll swatch Robin for my next post. Robin looks very similar to China Glaze For Audrey, I’ll compare both to see how they match up.

For Audrey Silver Gradient

Hey everyone!

Its been a while since I've posted. I've been extremely lazy lately, and I haven't done my nails since Sunday, which is a long time for me. The nails I'm sharing with you is my current mani from Sunday.

I used China Glaze For Audrey for the base color and sponged silver on the tips using Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Celeb City, and OPI Crown Me Already.

For Audrey applied pretty smooth in two coats. The formula is a little runnier than I'd prefer, but not a big deal. I really liked the way my nails turned out. The silver was a very nice contrast, and Crown Me Already added an extra sparkle.

It's been 5 days, and the wear and tear of this mani isn't too bad.  I have a few chips, but its not noticeable from far away. I probably will redo my nails today or tomorrow though.

I hope everyone has a great weekend. Thanks for reading!

Swatches: No Room For The Blues, That's Berry Daring, The Flowers Are Blue-Ming

I decided to do quick swatches of the OPI polishes I bought yesterday. It looked like a lot of people wanted to see a swatch of The Flowers Are Blue-Ming. The Flowers Are Blue-Ming is part of the Ulta exclusive Too Haute To Handle collection.

No Room For The Blues, That's Berry Daring, The Flowers Are Blue-Ming

Two coats of No Room For The Blues, two coats of That's Berry Daring, three coats of The Flowers Are Blue-Ming (may be able to get away with two)

With flash to show the holo of The Flowers Are Blue-Ming

The polishes applied great, but it may apply different on the nail, not sure though. No Room For The Blues is a beautiful bright sky blue. That's Berry Daring is a pink raspberry creme. The Flowers Are Blue-Ming a blue jelly with scattered holo, and could definitely use some top coat. The Flowers Are Blue-Ming is the only color that stood out to me in the Too Haute To Handle collection. Maybe I'll go back and get the rest of the collection anyways next time I get paid.

Well I hope you enjoyed the swatches! Thanks for reading.

Great OPI Deal At Ulta

I have some information to share with you today. There is a great deal on OPI polishes over at Ulta. When you spend $17 on OPI products, you get one free OPI polish from the Ulta exclusive Too Haute Too Handle collection. There are four polishes to choose from: Pack Your Booty Shorts, Sand On Your Feet, Hot Fun In The Summer-Lime, and The Flowers Are Blue-Ming. The deal runs from June 3-June 23, but I'd hurry before they run out

Since most of the OPI polishes are $8.50, it comes out to buy 2 get 1 free. Don't forget to print out their $3.50 off of a $10 purchase, to bring down your total to $13.50 for three OPI polishes. You'll be paying $4.50 a bottle.

I went in today and bought That's Berry Daring, No Room For The Blues, and got The Flowers Are Blue-Ming for free.

Hope your able to take advantage of this great deal!

May Haul

I've been really good about not buying polish lately. I've been trying to save my money, nothing in particular, but just to save.

I received my June Julep Maven Box this month with Robin and Daisy.

I got the OPI Spider-man minis.

OPI Pirouette My Whistle

I also so got these Art Deco striper nail art polishes.  They didn't have names though.

It was soo hard for me to avoid the polish section at the drugstores! This did leave me a little wiggle room for June though.

How many polishes did you end up buying this month?
