Jelly Sandwich w/ Drips Nail Art

Here's something I did a while back. I started off with a jelly sandwich using Hard Candy Glitter Jam and Nailtini Frappe. Then I added white drips and topped it off with some micro beads.

Butter London - Scallywag

I bought my first Butter London nail polishes earlier this week. I bought four different colors, Scallywag being one of them. Scallywag is a sky blue glitter in a clear base. This glitter is amazing!

I used two coat, and that was all I needed for opacity. The glitter applied great, no fishing for glitter needed. I absolutely loved Scallywag. I can't wait to try the other Butter London polishes I picked up.

The Versatile Blogger Award

Hey guys!

So I was totally nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award by the lovely ladies over at The Happy Sloths! Basically, its a tag where you share seven facts about yourself so everyone can get to know each other a little better.

1. I am currently attending my last semester at Sacramento State. I graduate in May with a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in finance. As excited as I am about graduating, it's a little nerve-racking since it'll be time to be a grown up and look into a career.

2. I have a few tattoos, and plan on getting more. As of right now, I have a tattoo of my Korean name on the back of neck, a unicorn on my right lower back, the Tokidoki skull and crossbones on my left ribs, an ice cream, cookie, cupcake, and donut on my hips.

3. I've been reading The Child Thief by Gerald Brom. It's a different take on the story of Peter Pan and the Lost Boys. The story is pretty dark and twisted, but I'm hooked. I can't wait to finish reading it.

4. Even though I'm 23, I just recently started wearing makeup. I have monolids which has always turned me off from wearing makeup because I just didn't know how. Incase you don't know, monolids are eyelids without a crease in them. I still don't really wear eyeshadow, but I've really gotten into wearing blush. I've anybody has any tips on applying eye make up for monolids, let me know!

5. I'm deathly afraid of birds. They really creep me out with their beady eyes and the fact that they fly. I wasn't always afraid of them though, so I'm not really sure what made me afraid of them.

6. I live in California, but I was born in South Korea. I've lived in Korea on and off for about seven years, four years in Hawaii, and the rest here in California.

7. I love watching tv. The shows that I'm really into right now are The Vikings, The Following, The Walking Dead, Pretty Little Liars, Go On, The New Normal, Shameless, The Americans, and Dexter. I'd probably be able to blog more if I wasn't watching so much tv.

I nominate everyone and anyone who'd like to do this. If you do though, please leave me a comment so I can check out your blog and read your seven facts. :)

Hard Candy - Peach Pop

Today's post is going to be a quicky. I have swatches of Hard Candy Peach Pop.

I used two coats. The second coat kind of dragged causing my application to be a little streaky, but if you're careful and let the first coat dry that shouldn't be a problem.

Hard Candy - Pee Wee Purple & Mermaid Magic

Today, I have two hard candy polishes to share with you. I used Hard Candy Pee Wee Purple as the base, and added a gradient and accent nail of Mermaid Magic. Pee Wee Purple is an amazing glass-flecked purple. In the bottle, the polish flashes a orangish gold, but it doesn't really translate onto the nails very well. Mermaid Magic is made up of teal glitter and larger purple hex glitter in a clear base.

I used two coats of Pee Wee Purple. On my accent nail, I topped off Pee Wee Purple with two coats of Mermaid Magic. The swatch on the nail wheel is what two coats of Mermaid Magic looks like by itself. The formula on these polishes were great and gave me no problems. You probably could wear Mermaid Magic on its own but I tend to layer glitters that don't have complete coverage. I have really been loving all the Hard Candy polishes so far.

Hard Candy Gummy Green

Here is a swatch of Hard Candy Gummy Green. Its a mint green polish with black and silver glitter.

I used three coats, but you could get away with two if you use thicker coats. I needed a third because I had a few bald spots. The formula was great, and the glitter spread nicely over my nails. This polish reminds me of mint chocolate chip ice cream, and I love it!

Zoya Ali + Hard Candy Black Tie Optional

So I finally got my hands on some of the new Hard Candy nail polishes! I hate going to Walmart but I went a few times this past week looking for the Hard Candy polishes. I only bought seven, but will probably go back once I get paid.

Today, I have Hard Candy Black Tie Optional. It is a black and white glitter topper. Black Tie Optional is made up of small round glitter, assorted sizes of hex glitter, and black bar glitter. I layered Black Tie Optional over Zoya Ali, a neon pink.

I used two coats of Zoya Ali and one-ish coat of Hard Candy Black Tie Optional. On a few nails, I did have to use a second coat because I didn't get a good assortment of glitter on the nail. I loved the way this glitter looks and am so glad to have this in my collection.
