Urban Outfitters - Mystic

I have another Urban Outfitters polish to share with you. Urban Outfitters Mystic is a gorgeous cooper flakie in a blurple jelly base. The base is pretty sheer since its a jelly so I layered it over Color Club Disco Dress. This is another Urban Outfitter polish that is a possible dupe of a Deborah Lippmann polish, Ray Of Light.

I used two coats of Disco Dress and one coat of Mystic. Disco Dress applied a little streaky, but it wasn't a big deal since I just covered it up. In the bottle, the flakies flashes green and blue, but it didn't translate well on the nails. Regardless, Mystic is one gorgeous polish. 

So far, I've been pretty impressed with Urban Outfitters' polishes. I love that so many of their polishes are supposedly dupes for Deborah Lippmanns. At $5 each, or 2 for $8, they are a steal. 

Urban Outfitters - Sea Dust

Today's going to be a quick post since it was the first day back at school and I'm exhausted.

Urban Outfitters Sea Dust is supposedly a dupe or at least extremely similar to Deborah Lippmann Mermaid's Dream.

I used three coats to reach opacity. It was pretty sheer, but other than needing a third coat, the formula gave me no issues. You can pick this up online or in store at Urban Outfitters for $5 each or 2 for $8. 

My Birthday!

My birthday was a couple of days ago on the 25th. I turned 23 years old!!! I had the intentions of posting my birthday nails on my actual birthday before heading out for the day, but I never got around to it. 

My birthday nails were inspired by all the pictures that came up when I googled cupcake nails. 

On my birthday, I went shopping at Valley Fair and Santana Row in San Jose (I live in Vacaville, California incase anybody is wondering). Unfortunately, I didn't find much that I wanted, but I did pick up a few polishes.  I also got a few polishes as gifts. Expect swatches of them over the next few weeks. 

Tie Dye Nails + Stamping

Hey there!

Today I wanted to share my tie dye inspired nails. Its more of a watercolor effect than tie dye, but I still love it. I sponged on 5 different polishes and topped it off with a coat of Revlon Heavenly. I also stamped a peace sign using Bundle Monster plate BM-320.

Franken - Seafoam Holo w/ Stamping

I have another one of my frankens to share with everyone. Unfortunately, none of my frankens have names. I do plan on thinking up names eventually, but I'm so uncreative. This franken is a seafoam green, sort of. As I added topcoat, it made the polish a little darker, leaning a little more towards blue. It's also a holo!

I used two coats, and the formula gave me no issues. I wish the holo was stronger, but I could always add more holo. I do like the polish without topcoat more though. 

What do you think? Should I add more holo? Any thoughts on a name? Let me know!

Sephora X - Deranged

Hello!

I have another Sephora X polish I'd like to share with you, Deranged. On Sephora's website Deranged is described as a "micro-sparkle deep eggplant metallic w/rainbow shimmer." I agree with the micro-sparkle and deep eggplant part, but I wouldn't consider this polish metallic nor does it contain rainbow shimmer.  This is an shimmery eggplant purple with blue and, I want to say red, shimmer running through it. Take a look for yourself!

I used two coats in my pictures above. The formula is a little on the thin side, and my first coat turned out very streaky, making me a little worried. Fortunately, this polish only needed two coats, and I love it. I will be picking up more polishes from the Sephora X line for sure.

Essence Colour & Go - Date in the Moonlight

Today I have a swatch of Essence Colour & Go Date in the Moonlight. I don't own too many Essence Colour & Go polishes, I don't know why though, because they're pretty awesome. Date in the Moonlight is a dusty greyish blue with blue shimmer. Unfortunately, the shimmer was more noticeable in the bottle than on my nails. My pictures show the shimmer a lot better than in real life.

I used three coats, but you can definitely get away with just two. I had to add a third coat because I had some bald spots. The formula was kind of thin, but it applied great. 

This is my first "new" Colour & Go polish (I have two from before they redid the line). For $1.99 each, I know this is going to be the first of many.
